Jeff and I were hiking around all day today, and it’s been very sunny and hot in Vancouver – a teeny bit of heatstroke really does explain the conversation we had around seven or so as we got close to home from our second go around the seawall:
(Walking through the park and into a cloud of tiny, annoying bugs)
Me: “Dammit, I hate walking through a cloud of minges.”
Jeff: “What?!”
Me: “Minges- I said I hate walking through a cloud of minges.”
Jeff: “Ohhh, okay.”
Me: “..What did you think I said?”
Jeff: “I thought you said you hate walking through a cloud of ‘ninjas’.”
Me: “What? A cloud of ninjas? Teeny little squeaky-voiced ninjas? On what, jetpacks?”
Jeff: “Could have been.”
Me: “…”
Jeff: “What?”
Me: “…’Jetpack Ninjas’ would be a kickass name for a band.”
Jeff: “Like the ‘Drop-kick Murphys’?”
Me: “I was just thinking that. I really need to lie down.”
