I was walking down Granville Street after work this afternoon on my way to pick Jeff up at his office when I came across this: The guys behind Fringe were downtown shooting a scene that looked like a follow-up to last season’s finale. I didn’t see Pacey, but that fourth pic is either the female [...]
I was surfing through iTunes looking for photo apps when I found this beauty. I think it’s great when the mentally unbalanced can take a weekend away from their medication and get into some productive application programming.

So yeah, this one is a little weird, in a cool way. Apparently I’m kind of a published photographer. Who knew? A while ago I got an email from a strange person telling me “good news!” Usually emails like this involve hot Russian girls wanting me (uh, thanks no) or tell me that my [...]
A year or two ago I got a bug in my ear that since we have a solarium, we should get some plants to put in it and green up our place a little bit. Our real estate agent (the flamingest guy you ever met, his business card had a closeup photo of his abs) [...]
Out of sheer curiosity (and to justify the expensive small-sizing from laptop to netbook) I’m writing this from the Starbucks on the Square formed by Nelson and Mainland Streets in Yaletown. I usually look down my nose at people who do this, but I get now how it can be… a reassurance?… to be out [...]
Continue reading about It’s better than the post I wrote at the liquor store. Really.
We hiked Rumble down to the dog park this weekend as part of his ongoing workout schedule. He’s supposed to be getting excercise, but as you can see, Rum had other ideas on how to burn calories: It’s an awkward conversation with the owner of the dog that Rumble climbs on for a cheerful hump: [...]
Jeff & I will be travelling to Ontario this summer, and we’re not going to be able to take our laptops. On top of that, I’m starting to write more and do other computer-related stuff on the go. So, what with my birthday last week, I bought myself a netbook. We’ll be selling one of [...]
Continue reading about Size matters, but in a totally different way here.
I went to pick up Jeff this afternoon, and on our way home we cut through the giant parking lot on West Georgia and Cambie. There were only a few cars given the time of day, which was the only reason I was able to see this out of the corner of my eye:
I was leaving the Nestor’s Market at Abbott & West Pender this evening when I was confronted with this: You’d think this guy was an average junkie/crazy of the DTES, but when I passed by (in a rush) I saw he was wearing those expensive, stupid-looking Armani sunglasses and talking on a Blackberry. You’d think [...]
It’s my thirty-somethingeth birthday next Thursday, and I’m so very excited about it. Once I hit twenty-five or so years old, birthdays became less about going “whoo!” and more about just getting older. I know that’s kind of a pessimistic view, but what can you do? Mostly I try to keep my head down and [...]
So it’s become apparent to me that I need to suck it up and quit kvetching about being sick. I’m actually feeling a lot better – my head’s still stuffy as hell but my throat is back to normal and I’m not hacking up a lung like I was this past weekend. Right now I’m [...]

I started coming down with something on Thursday night and now I’m not so much worried that I’m going to die as I’m worried that I’m not. Anyways, I was staggering around on Friday afternoon, waiting to pick up Jeff & Rum from his office when I came across this book in Chapters – it’s [...]
… stored carefully where they live: in their parents’ basement. This is from Golden Age, a comic book store down on Granville Street that deals in every damn comic book related thing ever made, I think. Crazy stuff. Two words: “No capes!” Still, if they’ve got a Batman size medium-long, I’d try it on.
I truly hope it doesn’t, but it’s bound to happen- someone who’s dropped acid in the past will come across one of these people on the street and have a huge flashback and jump off a bridge. There are bizarre buskers, “posers” and other performers out here, some are truly amazing and talented. That being [...]
